Problems and Solutions

January 23, 2008: It was established that the voltage regulator ran unusually hot and the board was nonfunctional. Brief testing showed that the ATMEGA162 microcontroller was plugged into the socket backwards. Removing the chip and installing it correctly allows the board to power up inasmuch as the power LED now activates when power is applied. Yay!!
